Description of positions:

 

 

 

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide positive, quality care for non-skiing children ages eight months to six years of age in a safe, organized environment.  Maintain state licensing policies and procedures for the Child Care Center.

 

REPORTS TO

Children Center Manager

 

JOB qualificationS

  • Minimum 14 years of age
  • Previous work experience with children in private or child care settings is helpful, but not nessesary
  • Detail-oriented, patient, enjoy working with children, able to remain calm and positive during stressful times and able to write documentation of children’s daily activities for parents
  • Able to lift at least 30 lbs, be on your feet six to nine hours a day and withstand frequent up-and-down/ twisting/repetitive movements
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise children ages 6 months to 8 years; dress/undress them, making sure all personal items are accounted for; change diapers when appropriate
  • Lift and carry babies and toddlers
  • Attend to children's personal needs
  • Record events of the day for each child; discuss them with child's parents
  • Assist Supervisors and Leads with various tasks, such as, set up, cleaning, etc.


SKI BUTTERNUT / MA STATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete background check in accordance with state child care licensing
  • Training for MA food handlers permit
  • Trained and certified in infant CPR (if applicable)

PURPOSE OF POSITION

This is an entry level position. Depending on job location and shift, job duties will vary from cooking a'la carte, buffet style set-ups and service, line cook, line set-ups and serving Ski Butternut Guests.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prior kitchen experience is not require, however experience does help 
  • Must be able to work well with other employees, be able to learn quickly and handle pressure well
  • Must be flexible with schedule and available to work weekends and holidays
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, environment
  • Outstanding guest relation skills
  • Able to lift and carry 25-50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, withstand frequent up-and-down/ twisting/repetitive movements and reach with hands/arms to handle objects, tools or controls


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare food promptly and efficiently in accordance with instructions given by the Supervisor and established production standards and time constraints
  • Food presentation- Service lines are kept spotless and containers changed regularly as needed.  Food selections should always be well stocked and appropriately garnished
  • Guest service is prompt, friendly and efficient.  Guests should be politely greeted and asked how they may be helped
  • Work safely to prevent injury by proper use of knives and other kitchen tools
  • Work and service areas are kept clean and uncluttered, especially walk-in coolers.  Proper storage and rotation of food is mandatory to insure freshness and avoid waste.  Left over products must be properly labeled with name and date and stored in appropriate area of cooler or kitchen.

​PURPOSE OF POSITION 

A Restaurant Cashier is responsible for accurate and efficient payment processing at a restaurant register in Snow Park Restaurant.

Office Manager

 

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Good command of the English language.  You have extensive contact and communication with our guests, so it is very important that you speak English well. Previous cash handling experience is helpful. Honest and reliable.

 
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurate ringing of food and beverage items and efficient handling of cash, credit and house payment transactions.
  • Reporting to work in ample time in proper uniform and neatly groomed for the start of your shift.
  • Have a complete knowledge of all the food and beverage products offered in the the restaurant.
  • Maintain a balanced bank on your shift. If cumulative errors exceed $50, disciplinary action will result.
  • Check identification for beer sales.
  • Assisting as required in other areas of the restaurant, including bussing tables, or any other area as needed.
  • Must be 18 years of age

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Must have previous housekeeping experience
  • Must be able to lift 25-35 lbs.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate proactive guest and employee problem resolution with urgency, respect and empathy
  • Clean residence thoroughly
  • Turn in all lost and found items, properly tagged, to the Main Office at the end of scheduled shift
  • Ensure when leaving residence, all doors and windows are closed and locked, thermostats set @ 60 degrees in the summer and 68 degrees in the winter and  fire place flues are closed
  • All keys will be checked in and out on a daily basis
  • Stock residence with appropriate supplies as specified by company standards
  • Complete all assigned services by timeframes established by department
  • Respond to guest needs in an appropriate, professional, courteous manner
  • Report any items requiring replacement and or repair, or any damage to Operations Manager
  • Assist in maintaining all specified rooms in all facilities neat and orderly by putting away all supplies throughout and at the end of scheduled shift
  • Ensure safety procedures, in accordance with safety training guidelines, are followed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Operate chairlifts safely and efficiently.  Organize guests in line to most efficiently load on chairlifts.  Check guests for proper lift tickets.  Promote the Ski Butternut Family way.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. and do hard, physical labor
  • Must be able to communicate well with people

  • Must be dependable
  • Must be 18 yrs. old

  • Be attentive at load and unload terminals
  • Engage guests at every opportunity
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Work outside in winter conditions for long periods of time

  • Perform expected amount of snow work. (Sweeps chairs, remove snow  from terminals)

​PURPOSE OF POSITION 

Be an integral member of a friendly, outgoing crew -- join the Rental Shop team.   You’ll become a certified Rossignol ski technician and get to test out the latest skis by taking frequent ski breaks.  You’ll also have an opportunity to learn top-notch tuning techniques from an expert staff while getting familiar with the overall operation.  The position involves on-going guest contact by helping them get outfitted with ski rental equipment and explaining its safe use, as well as collecting/restocking returned equipment and testing/maintaining all equipment.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, withstand frequent up-and-down/ twisting/repetitive movements and reach with hands/arms to handle objects, tools or controls
  • Must be 14 years of age and have excellent oral and written comprehension and expression of the English language
  • Outstanding communication and guest service skills
  • Able to multi-task and work well in a team-oriented environment; able to work efficiently, accurately and with limited supervision
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong intermediate to advanced skiing skills are a necessity.
  • We look for people who are good communicators and like to smile and laugh.
  • Must be willing to service our guests' desire to learn a new sport (Skiing) or to enhance their interest in improving their current skiing level or ski ability.
  • We want people willing to teach skiing to any age and ability level, beginner to advanced skiers.
  • Our Ski instructional and coaching programs offer ski lessons for children ages 4 years and up, so we want a staff that is versatile and able to communicate enthusiastically with young and old skiers alike.
  • Ski Instructors work outside on the snow a good portion of the day.
  • No previous Ski Teaching experience is needed! We can teach you to be a Ski Instructor. We have a strong training program so if you are interested in learning how to teach skiing, we want to talk to you.
  • Applicants should own their own ski equipment. Must be 14 years of age and older to become a ski teacher.
  • Hours:  We are flexible. We have openings for both midweek and weekend Ski instructors. Full & part time seasonal Ski Teaching positions available.

  • Want to work as a Snowboard Instructor or Coach at the Berkshire #1 Ski & Snowboard Area.
  • Strong Intermediate to advanced snowboarding skills are a necessity.

  • Must be willing to service our guests desires to learn a new sport (Snowboarding) or their interest in enhancing their current level of ability as a Snowboarder. We want people who are willing to teach, coach, instruct at any ability level, beginner Snowboarding to advanced level Snowboarding and riding skills including lessons in our Terrain Park.
  • Our program offers Snowboard lesson for children ages 7 years and up so we want a staff that is versatile and able to communicate enthusiastically with young and old riders alike.
  • Ski Butternut snowboard Instructors work outside on the snow a good portion of the day.
  • No previous snowboard teaching / coaching experience required. Although we regard highly anyone who has achieved level I-II-IIIAASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors) or PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) credentials.
  • We offer a strong training program. We'll teach you how to teach people to snowboard. So if you are interested in learning how to teach snowboading to enthusiastic students we want to talk to you.
  • Snowboard instructor applicants should own their own equipment.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older

  • Snowmakers must have the fortitude and ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work as a team member and individually.
  • Willing to work a 12-hour shift.
  • Applicant must also have the ability to operate machinery in a harsh work environment.
